As promised, some shots of what I’ve been working on knitting-wise.
One of the assistants here said it was “very preppy” when I wore it into the office. It appears as though I cannot escape my upbringing, no matter how hard I try. Once the matching hat and mittens are made (I went out and bought some more yarn during my lunch break), I will attempt to felt a White-Harp onto them. I’m also thinking white pom-poms for the hat and mittens.)
And now, the swatches I’ve been practicing with.
I’ve been knitting a lot of hearts in my practice swatches, mostly because they’re fairly easy to do. This is a blanket for White-Harp, done in a simple stockinette stitch, but because stockinette curls, I added a crochet border
I’m sending the next practice swatch to Bear, along with the valentines I made.
I was thinking of making an entire card, but I’ve been pretty uninspired in other creative aspects lately (drawing included). My poor Bear turned 24 yesterday and spent the entire day studying for exams, which start this Friday. I, on the other hand, will be spending this weekend whooping it up with The Inimitable Bex vintage dress shopping for med school prom. Yes, medical school is exactly like high school, only there are more dead bodies and less inane English assignments.
