Happy New Year!

I’ve had far less time to blog while on holiday than I had intended. Over the break I read THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner and FIRE by Kristin Cashore and caught up on a ton of reading for work. In addition to that, I’ve had Argos attached to my face since Christmas and I was busier taking photographs instead of blogging them.

Tteok Guk

Korean rice cake dumpling soup, or tteok guk.

Also, family. I feel grateful and blessed to be part of such a close-knit and loving family, even if we get into each other’s hair sometimes. Each one of us (with the exception of my grandmother) is an internet addict and there is only one computer with internet access in this house. One can only imagine the traffic jams that occur.

I have quite a backlog of things to write about, but in the meantime, have a look at my New Year’s Day, in which my family and I made dumplings from scratch for the traditional Korean dumpling soup. I gifted a Flickr Pro account to myself over the holidays, which can be found here.

I’m off to New York today. It was 77 degrees, clear, sunny, and beautiful in Pasadena yesterday. I hear it is 20 degrees (feels like 6) in New York. Watch as I cry.

I have retrospectives and resolutions to post as well, but until I have a computer all to myself again, I will rest with just one: find some kickass books to publish.

That soup looks delicious! Looking forward to learning more about your adventures at St. Martin’s Press and the development of New Adult in 2010.
