Photo Friday: February 18

Good Lord, it’s been ages since I’ve done a Photo Friday. My photography has been a bit more sporadic, but I got a new 35mm lens and an iPhone, so I’ve been mixing things up. Themes this week include Narcissism, 35mm Prime Lens, and iPhoneography.

Narcissism

Favourite Tights

These are my favourite tights because they're the warmest.

Exposure 0.077 sec (1/13)
Aperture f/1.8
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 200
Exposure Bias -5/3 EV

Winter Greys

Winter always gets me so down.

Exposure 0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture f/1.8
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 400

35mm Prime Lens

Paper Lanterns

The paper lanterns at GustOrganics, a restaurant where I had dinner last week.

Exposure 0.02 sec (1/50)
Aperture f/1.8
Focal Length 35 mm
ISO Speed 1600

Table Decor

I love the table decor here.

Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture f/1.8
Focal Length 35 mm
ISO Speed 1600

iPhoneography

I got the Hipstamatic app, and I have to say I really love it. I just love the lomo-effect it gives these photos. Totally worth getting all the extras too so you can play around with it.

My Apartment

Left: A really stupid facial expression. Right: My collection of toy cars.

White-Harp Valentine

I sent a picture of White-Harp wishing Bear a happy Valentine's day on Valentine's Day. The quality of the camera on this phone is kind of astounding.

Out and About

Left: The streets of Chelsea in New York. Right: The Chelsea Clearview Cinema.

Luna Bar

A Luna Bar I had as a snack. Look at the clarity of this image! Jesus!

Collage 1

Left: Windblown self-portrait. The front facing camera isn't as good as the back. Top right: Post-long run brunch with Rachel. Bottom right: Coffee. Mmmm, coffee.

Editorial Meeting

Left: A candid shot from editorial meeting. Top right: Ladies of SMP! Bottom left: A double exposed photo of the N train.

Other photography apps I’ve downloaded include SwankoLab and DXP, which I recommend to play around with and give your photos interesting processing effects. DXP is a double exposure app, which is kind of neat.

Oh! I LOVE the first one. I was born with my feet turned in, and my mother jokes that when there’s a childhood pic of just feet, it’s easy to identify mine. I used to trip over my feet all the time!

Wow. Maybe I need to get an iPhone!

The camera on it is kind of incredible, considering it is a CELLPHONE CAMERA. It’s so sharp!

Yeah, I’m pretty addicted to my new iPhone, I won’t lie. His name is Iorek Byrnison. He’s very pretty. :)
