What Your Favourite Children’s Book Says About You Now

Now, my favourite books were Alice in Wonderland and The Secret Garden when I was younger, but my kitchen isn’t very well-stocked, nor do I have any houseplants. Clearly I ought to remedy this. (But there are so many books on this list I adored as a child! I couldn’t possibly choose one.)

I liked my encyclopedia a lot. It was my bedtime ‘story’. Says a lot about me. I still can’t read fiction. Hahaha.

Oh, I read the encyclopedia for fun too! I read the Childcraft ones, as well as Encyclopedia Britannica. My favourite Childcraft ones were the stories, space, and animal biology ones. My favourite encyclopedia was D, because I just read the Dog article over and over again.

…and I also read the dictionary.

        I was weird.

For me, it was a children’s encyclopedia (can’t remember the name.) before I graduated to Britannica and eventually Encarta. I loved space, British history, dinosaurs and geology (yeah, strange, I know!).

Wow, dictionary! That’s hardcore. No wonder you’re in the publishing industry. I definitely didn’t read the dictionary. SAT words were hard…
