Back in 2010, my then-roommate Rachel decided to leave the world of higher education fundraising and take steps towards pursuing her passions: yoga and French. Being gifted in the language, she had gotten a lot of small translation projects here and there and wanted a place where her potential clients could come and research her skills and abilities. She asked that I avoid the cliché “beret, tricolor, and Eiffel Tower” look, and this was the result.
I also coded an identical website, but in French, for her potential French clients. Ah, the life of an interpreter: doing everything twice!
