Client: Wicked Cool Riley
Platform: Blogger
Project: Personal Blog
To my everlasting sorrow, Wicked Cool Riley (critique partner, roommate, and friend extraordinaire) has decided to pick up and relocate to Minnesota with her wonderful boyfriend. She decided to start blogging about her new life landlocked in the middle of nowhere the United States so I created this layout for her. (She’s a domestic goddess and divine baker, you see.)
Interested in my webdesign work? Would you like to commission me?
Building a website is a rather complicated process. My work tends to be more graphic-based than other designers, complete with original artwork. As such, I like to work in three stages:
Once all parties are satisfied, the website can go live.
Because of the intensive pre-code work, I require a non-refundable $200 deposit. This covers email exchanges, initial sketches, as well as Photoshop mockups (if you should choose not to utilize my illustrative skills). Once a basic design has been agreed upon, I get to work on building your test site. I charge $20 per hour, to be paid upon completion. If at any point during the design process you are unhappy with my work, you are free to terminate our agreement and walk away, but your deposit cannot be returned to you.
I don’t foresee a lot (if any) extra charges, but if you need me to purchase your domain and set up hosting information, it will cost the price of those services plus a 15% labor fee. My regular hourly rate applies for all website updates, but updates under an hour are free.
Blogs are less time-consuming than an entire website to build and are priced more cheaply. If would like me to design your personal blog at Blogger or Livejournal, please contact me. I require a $75 nonrefundable deposit, which covers email exchanges and preliminary sketches. Once a design has been agreed upon, I will create a mockup of the blog template. My hourly rate is $15 per hour. Once the test layout has been approved, you can either give me your log-in info, or I can send you detailed instructions on how to install the template yourself.
Sound good? drop me a line with COMMISSION: Webdesign and I will get back to you.
