Content runs from the deeply (or as deep as JJ is apt to get) personal to the highly frivolous. JJ can talk the ears off a gundark, both in print and in person (verbose, prosaic, and loquacious!), and has a distinct inability to write short.
JJ is an adrenaline junkie, a skydiving enthusiast, lover of baby harp seals, The Libertines, Lady Gaga, and anything gothic, creepy, weird, and whimsical. She has an extensive collection of hats and fancy accoutrements, as well as an unabashed fondness for mindless action movies. She is also not-quite-so-secretly actually five years old, if chronologically much older.
I began my publishing career as an intern at the literary agency Writers House LLC. In November 2009, I was hired at St. Martin’s Press as an editorial assistant. I may be a neophyte in the business, but my apprenticeship was sound.
All writing/publishing talk comes from a deep love of books and you may take or leave my thoughts and opinions. I was a reader before I began working in this industry and I’m still a reader today, publishing desk or no. Story (not plot!) is of the utmost importance to me and I read broadly, from nonfiction to fantasy to children’s to literary. Come join in!
